The Government of India (GoI) has recently introduced an electronic passbook system for the postal savings bank scheme. Thus, customers will now be able to access their account information from anywhere and without having to go to the bank.

“The relevant authority has decided to introduce the e-passbook function on 12.10.2022 to provide simplified and improved digital facilities to account holders of (small) national savings schemes,” the Post Office said in a statement. a notification.

An account holder can use the registered mobile phone to access the e-Passbook feature. The service is available free of charge.

Taking to Twitter, Union Minister of State for Communication, Devusinh Chauhan, also informed about the launch of this facility for account holders at the Postal Savings Bank.

With this launch, the Postal Savings Bank system will become more digitized as account holders will be able to know the transaction history for any period.

Here are the steps to access the eBook online:

Step 1:

Open the post office application and log in using the credentials

2nd step: You will be redirected to your account dashboard. Here, click on “Statement” under “Balance and statement”.

Step 3: Now select ‘Mini Statement’ and click ‘go’

Step 4: The dashboard will open. There will be an option to check balance and statement

Step 5: By clicking on the statement, you will get a mini-statement and account statement option;

Step 6: Choose the statement option and period for which you want to see the statement
